IT’S NOT ABOUT THE METAL, IT’S ABOUT THE ENGINEER.

A car is more than numbers on a spec sheet; it’s also a reflection of the engineers who built it. You can see their thinking not just in the pieces they choose, but also in how those pieces are put together. Not only in what they’ve put under the hood, but the material of the hood itself. Not just in the power they pull from the engine, but in how that power is deployed. Clever thinking, startling attention to detail, and a keen awareness that not every bolt is created equal. The Genesis: the perfect example of Hyundai engineers in action.

MEET YOU AT THE FINISH LINE.

With 333 lb.-ft. of torque and 375 horses champing at the bit, the Hyundai Genesis 4.6 has surprised more than a few venerable luxury cars off the line. That’s because its V8 Tau engine helps propel the stately Genesis sedan from zero to 60 in a jaw-dropping 5.3 seconds. And while that may be impressive in its own right, it becomes even more so when you consider the equally astounding price disparities.

IT’S WHAT’S INSIDE THAT COUNTS.

There’s something quite remarkable about the interior of the Hyundai Genesis. It’s spacious, comfortable, and graced with expansive windows. It’s also overflowing with the latest mind-easing technologies, including available XM NavTraffic® to help keep you on schedule, and a backup warning system that helps you pull into even the tightest of parking spots.

Throughout, you’ll find an unprecedented level of polish in everything from the stylish leather seating surfaces and leather-wrapped dashboard right down to the tiny spring that was specifically designed to prevent the passenger handles from slapping shut too harshly. And if the interior wasn’t luxurious enough, we decided to equip the Genesis with an available 17-speaker surround sound audio system created by Lexicon®, the exclusive provider to Rolls-Royce.

THE AIRBAGS PROTECT YOU, BUT WHAT’S PROTECTING THE AIRBAGS?

In the Hyundai Genesis, safety functions at three different levels, with each level doing its part to keep you and your passengers protected. The first is geared toward avoiding accidents altogether with advanced braking technologies, responsive steering and Electronic Stability Control. The next level of protection involves the crumple zones in the Genesis, which absorb and redirect the force of a crash away from the passenger compartment. And the final level of protection involves equipping the interior with eight airbags that work to cushion the remaining impact. The front seats even have electronic active front head restraints that activate instantly in a rear collision, pressing gently against the head to help prevent whiplash.
